Online Classes during Temporary Studio Closure

March 17, 2020

Dear Menlo Park Academy of Dance Families and Parents,

I hope this note finds you all well, and continuing to care for yourselves and your loved ones.

As we all are experiencing, these are very trying times for our entire community and especially for small businesses. Menlo Park Academy of Dance has been a pillar in our
community since 1947, and I am honored that so many parents have expressed such enthusiasm and concern in recent days.

I know how much the student dancers love their classes, teachers, and dance community, and recognize that these dancers look to our studio for a sense of strength, inspiration,
and comfort, especially in these uncertain times.

As such, I wanted to be clear in letting you know that we have no intentions to stop teaching classes, and that our temporary studio closure is for health reasons, as mandated
by San Mateo County.

In fact, we are working as quickly as we can to provide online classes for your dancers, likely live-format via Zoom, just as the local school communities are doing to provide
continuity for their students. We hope to have classes up and running by March 23rd, so please look out for an email with further details. We look forward to finding creative ways to help our students maintain their fitness and artistry, and stay connected to dance.

Thank you so much for your continued support for your dancers, for their teachers and their dance community, and for Menlo Park Academy of Dance.

Sincerely,

Sarah-Jane Measor
Director, Menlo Park Academy of Dance
